Meet Casey Irvine, PT, DPT, ATC.
Sports physical therapy in Cary, NC — built by someone who actually trains.
My name is Casey Irvine — a physical therapist, athletic trainer, and competitive powerlifter helping athletes in Cary, North Carolina recover from injury and perform at a higher level.
I'm the owner of Licensed Performance Physical Therapy, located at 102 Commonwealth Court, Suite J in Cary, NC, where I specialize in sports physical therapy, injury rehabilitation, and performance training for golfers and strength athletes.
I graduated from Quinnipiac University and have over 8 years of experience helping athletes move better, get stronger, and stay pain-free.
If you're dealing with pain, limited mobility, or recurring injuries, the goal isn't just to treat symptoms — it's to fix the root cause and build strength so the problem doesn't come back.
My approach combines hands-on therapy, movement analysis, and strength training to help you:
- —Recover faster
- —Prevent future injuries
- —Improve strength and performance
I've lived this process myself. I went from struggling with basic lifts to competing in national-level powerlifting, and I use that experience to guide athletes with real, proven strategies.
If you're in Cary, NC or nearby areas like Raleigh, Apex, or Morrisville — and you're ready to train without pain, move with confidence, and perform at your best — let's get to work.
I put everything into the design of this facility — not for aesthetic, for capacity.
Google "sports performance" or "physical therapy" in your area and you'll get plenty of options. You won't find a place built like this. The room exists so we can run a real session — hands-on care, barbell work, and sport-specific progressions — under one roof.
The questions new athletes always ask.
01 Do I need a referral to be seen?
No. As a patient you have direct access to physical therapy in North Carolina. No referral is needed to see a physical therapist, and you have the right to choose your provider. In rare cases, an insurance plan may require a referral for reimbursement — but instead of waiting two or three weeks to see a physician, you can call us and make an appointment today.
02 What conditions do you treat?
- Neck pain
- Shoulder pain & dysfunction
- Rotator cuff & labral injuries
- Golfer's / tennis elbow
- Low back pain
- SI pain
- Lifting injuries
- Sports injuries
- Arthritis
- Knee pain
- Ankle sprains

03 Do you only treat strength athletes?
No. While my passion is with strength and barbell athletes, I have a diverse background working with patients of all ages and skill levels. I enjoy helping anyone who wants to get better, get stronger, or just get in better shape.
04 Why don't you accept insurance?
Insurances have many hoops you need to jump through from start to finish when it comes to PT. Whether that's requiring a referral which delays start of care, or having visit limits that stop your coverage the moment you hit them.
And that insurance plan that's supposed to cover health care costs — with copays and coinsurance? Great. But there's a deductible you have to meet first. In most plans, PT is a covered service only after the deductible has been met, meaning you're paying full price out of pocket anyway until you hit $3,000, $4,000, or $5,000.
We believe that you and your PT should be the ones making decisions about your care — not your insurance company. That's why we choose not to work with insurance.
Recover stronger, move better, and perform at your best every day.
